On September 4th 2023, we gathered to share songs and stories from those that attended and survived the institutions that we know as Indian Residential Schools. The September long weekend is marked by mourning for many Indigenous families as they remember it as the time each year when the children were taken away to residential schools.

On the long weekend of September 2024, the Wheel of Life Society will host a two-day ceremony to support our residential survivors, share their stories of survival and resilience, and to remember those who never made it home. All are welcome to join us for this ceremony — more details will be released in the summer of 2024.
